DIOR PRESENTS – THE WINTER 2023-2024 ICONIC SILHOUETTES

Between past, present and future, the looks conceived by Kim Jones for the Dior Winter 2023-2024 défilé reflect the perpetual movements of time by deriving their references from the rigorous lines drawn by Yves Saint Laurent, successor of the founding-couturier. A purity embodied by the architectural construction of an Oblique jacket adorned with piping, paired with wide pants featuring virtuoso pleats, the poetic undulations of which emphasize the look. Revisiting the Marine model, created for the spring-summer 1958 haute couture collection, a pullover jacket with a trompe-l’oeil effect is enhanced by airy ribbons, while loose-fitting Bermuda shorts with drawstrings create a bold interplay of proportions. Sculptural silhouettes, combining heritage and innovation, are punctuated with couture-like accessories, such as hats inspired by sailors’, or reimagined brooches and bracelets featuring precious coral, expressions of the excellence of Dior’s haute joaillerie Ateliers. Creations to be discovered in stores from August 24.
