พิพิธภัณฑ์ผ้าในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ หอรัษฎากรพิพัฒน์ ภายในพระบรมมหาราชวัง จัดนิทรรศการพิเศษ “ชุดไทย : จากราชสำนักสู่ราชนิยม” (Chud Thai: Dressing the Nation in Heritage) เพื่อรำลึกพระปรีชาสามารถและพระวิสัยทัศน์ของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ผู้วางรากฐานการแต่งกาย ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม ให้เป็นเอกลักษณ์ประจำชาติ
สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี เสด็จพระราชดำเนินทรงเป็นองค์ประธานเปิดงาน พร้อมสมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา ในฐานะประธานที่ปรึกษาพิพิธภัณฑ์ผ้า เสด็จร่วมงานและทรงฉลองพระองค์ ชุดไทยบรมพิมาน ลายเทพพนม กินนรรำ ย้อมครั่ง กรวยเชิง 3 ชั้น ทอโดยอาจารย์วีรธรรม ตระกูลเงินไทย และตัดเย็บโดยธีรพันธ์ วรรณรัตน์ ศิลปินแห่งชาติ ห้องเสื้อ Tirapan
นิทรรศการนำเสนอฉลองพระองค์ ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม ทั้ง 8 แบบ ได้แก่ เรือนต้น จิตรลดา อมรินทร์ บรมพิมาน ดุสิต จักรี ศิวาลัย และจักรพรรดิ ซึ่งเป็นพระราชดำริของสมเด็จพระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2503 เมื่อครั้งเสด็จพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร ไปเจริญสัมพันธไมตรีต่างประเทศ พระองค์ทรงเห็นความจำเป็นที่ประเทศไทยควรมีชุดประจำชาติสำหรับสตรีที่สง่างามและร่วมสมัย จึงโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ศึกษาการแต่งกายสตรีไทยโบราณและประยุกต์เทคนิคสากลจนกลายเป็น ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม
นอกจากเผยแพร่พระราชกรณียกิจด้านการอนุรักษ์และส่งเสริมการแต่งกายไทย นิทรรศการยังเปิดโอกาสให้ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวเรียนรู้คุณค่าผ้าไทยและแฟชั่นไทยในฐานะมรดกวัฒนธรรม ตลอดจนสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้คนรุ่นใหม่ร่วมสืบสานต่อ
เปิดให้เข้าชมตั้งแต่วันที่ 16 สิงหาคม 2568 เป็นต้นไป ทุกวันเวลา 09.00–16.30 น. (ปิดจำหน่ายบัตร 15.30 น.) บัตรเข้าชม: ผู้ใหญ่ 150 บาท, ผู้สูงอายุ 65+ ปี 80 บาท, นักเรียน–นักศึกษา และเยาวชน 12–18 ปี 50 บาท, เด็กอายุต่ำกว่า 12 ปีเข้าชมฟรี
The Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles at the Ratsadakorn-bhibhathana Building, Grand Palace, presents the special exhibition “Chud Thai: Dressing the Nation in Heritage” to honor the vision and ingenuity of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who laid the foundation for Thai National Dress, establishing it as a cultural emblem of the nation.
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the opening ceremony, joined by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, in her role as Honorary Advisor to the Museum. On this occasion, Her Royal Highness wore a Thai Boromphiman ensemble featuring motifs of Theppanom and Kinnara Dance, naturally dyed with lac and adorned with a three-tiered Kruaicheng pattern, woven by master weaver Veeratham Trakulngernthai and tailored by National Artist Teerapan Wannarat of the Tirapan Atelier.
The exhibition showcases the eight styles of Thai National Dress: Ruean Ton, Chitralada, Amarin, Boromphiman, Dusit, Chakri, Siwalai, and Chakkraphat. These designs were initiated by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother in 1960, when accompanying His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on state visits abroad. Recognizing the importance of a dignified and contemporary national attire for Thai women, Her Majesty commissioned studies of traditional Thai court dress and incorporated international couture techniques, giving rise to what is now known as Chut Thai Phra Ratcha Niyom (Thai National Dress).
Beyond commemorating Her Majesty’s dedication to preserving and promoting Thai dress, the exhibition offers both the public and visitors an opportunity to explore the cultural value of Thai textiles and fashion as a living heritage, while inspiring younger generations to carry it forward.
The exhibition is open to the public from 16 August 2025 onwards, daily from 09:00 to 16:30 (ticket sales close at 15:30).
Admission fees: Adults THB 150; Seniors 65+ THB 80; Students and youth (12–18 years) THB 50; Children under 12 enjoy free admission.
