วันที่ 15 กรกฎาคม 2567 นายฌ็อง-โกลด ปวงเบิฟ (Jean-Claude Poimbœuf) เอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย จัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองวันชาติฝรั่งเศส ประจำปี 2567 ณ โรงแรมอีสติน แกรนด์ พญาไท กรุงเทพฯ โดยมีนายอรรถนิติ ดิษฐอำนาจ องคมนตรี พลตำรวจเอก เพิ่มพูน ชิดชอบ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ นายชัชชาติ สิทธิพันธุ์ ผู้ว่าราชการกรุงเทพมหานคร คณะทูตต่างประเทศ ผู้บริหารและผู้แทนหน่วยงานภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน ตลอดจนผู้แทนชุมชนฝรั่งเศสในประเทศไทย มาร่วมงานและร่วมแสดงความยินดี
โอกาสนี้ นายกิตตินันท์ ชินสำราญ นักร้องเสียงบาริโทนชาวไทย ได้ขับร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระบารมีและเพลงชาติฝรั่งเศส พร้อมกับการบรรเลงเพลงโดยวงดุริยางค์ทหารอากาศ จากนั้นเอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสขึ้นกล่าวต้อนรับแขกผู้มีเกียรติโดยชื่นชมความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นระหว่างไทยกับฝรั่งเศส และกล่าวถึงความสำเร็จของกิจกรรมปีแห่งนวัตกรรมฝรั่งเศส-ไทย 2023 การเยือนฝรั่งเศสในเดือนมีนาคมและพฤษภาคม 2567 ของนายเศรษฐา ทวีสิน นายกรัฐมนตรี โดยได้มีการพบหารือกับนายเอมานูว์แอล มาครง ประธานาธิบดีฝรั่งเศส ซึ่งผู้นำทั้งสองเห็นพ้องที่จะกระชับความร่วมมือสู่การเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ในอนาคต นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสยังได้กล่าวถึงการครบรอบ 340 ปี ของการติดต่อกันครั้งแรกระหว่างสยามกับฝรั่งเศสในปี 2568 และการครบรอบ 170 ปี ของความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-ฝรั่งเศสในปี 2569 พร้อมทั้งกล่าวอวยพรให้นักกีฬาไทยประสบความสำเร็จในการแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิกและพาราลิมปิกที่ฝรั่งเศสเป็นเจ้าภาพซึ่งใกล้จะถึงนี้ ก่อนเชิญแขกผู้มีเกียรติร่วมดื่มถวายพระพรชัยมงคลแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว และดื่มเพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่ประธานาธิบดีแห่งสาธารณรัฐฝรั่งเศส อย่างพร้อมเพรียงกัน

On Monday, July 15, 2024, H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Poimbœuf, Ambassador of France to Thailand, hosted a reception on the occasion of the French National Day at Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok, with the attendance of about 1,200 guests. Among distinguished guests present were H.E. Mr. Atthaniti Disatha-amnarj, Privy Councillor, Police General Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, members of the Diplomatic Corps in Thailand, as well as many heads and representatives from public and private sectors and members of the French community in Thailand.
The ceremony began with the performance of the Thai Royal Anthem and the French National Anthem by Mr. Kittinant Chinsamran, Thai baritone, with the Royal Thai Air Force Band, followed by the speech of the French Ambassador, commending strong relations between Thailand and France. The Ambassador mentioned the success of the France-Thailand Year of Innovation 2023, two visits of Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin to France in March and May 2024, during which the Thai Prime minister had a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and the two leaders agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation with a view to a future strategic partnership. The Ambassador also said the two countries will commemorate the 340th anniversary of the first contact between Siam and France in 2025 and the 170th anniversary of the establishment of Thai-French diplomatic relations in 2026. The guests were then asked to join in a toast to His Majesty the King and the President of the French Republic.
