เมื่อวันจันทร์ที่ 22 กรกฎาคม 2567 ที่ผ่านมา เกิดเหตุกราดยิงที่บ้านพักคนชราเอกชนแห่งหนึ่งในเมืองดารูวาร์ ประเทศโครเอเชีย ห่างจากกรุงซาเกร็บไปทางตะวันออกประมาณ 120 กิโลเมตร
ตามรายงานของสถานีโทรทัศน์สาธารณะโครเอเชีย (HRT) มือปืนได้บุกเข้าไปในบ้านพักคนชราและเปิดฉากยิง ส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิต 6 ราย โดย 5 รายเป็นผู้อยู่อาศัยในบ้านพัก และอีก 1 รายเป็นพนักงาน นอกจากนี้ยังมีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บอีก 6 ราย
นายนิโคลา มิลินา หัวหน้าตำรวจโครเอเชียเปิดเผยว่า มือปืนผู้ก่อเหตุเคยมีประวัติอาชญากรรมกับเจ้าหน้าที่มาก่อน อีกทั้งยังเคยเป็นสมาชิกหน่วยตำรวจทหาร และใช้อาวุธปืนสั้นที่ไม่ได้รับการจดทะเบียน อย่างไรก็ตาม ยังเร็วเกินไปที่จะระบุ แรงจูงใจในการก่อเหตุสะเทือนขวัญครั้งนี้
หลังจากก่อเหตุ มือปืนได้หลบหนีไป แต่ถูกจับกุมได้ในเวลาต่อมาบริเวณใกล้ร้านกาแฟแห่งหนึ่ง ขณะนี้เจ้าหน้าที่กำลังสอบสวนคดีอย่างต่อเนื่อง

เหตุการณ์นี้ถือเป็นโศกนาฏกรรมครั้งใหญ่ที่สร้างความสะเทือนใจให้กับชาวโครเอเชีย โดยทางการกำลังเร่งสืบสวนหาสาเหตุและดำเนินคดีกับผู้ก่อเหตุอย่างเข้มงวด

Tragic Shooting at Croatian Nursing Home: 6 Dead, 6 Injured
On Monday, July 22, 2024, a shooting incident occurred at a private nursing home in the city of Daruvar, Croatia, approximately 120 kilometers east of the capital, Zagreb.
According to reports from the Croatian public television (HRT), an armed assailant entered the nursing home and opened fire, resulting in 6 fatalities. Five of the deceased were residents of the facility, and one was a staff member. Additionally, 6 individuals sustained injuries.
Croatian Police Chief Nikola Milina disclosed that the perpetrator had a prior criminal record and was formerly a member of the military police. The assailant used an unregistered handgun. However, it is premature to determine the motive behind this shocking act.
Following the incident, the gunman fled but was subsequently apprehended near a local café. Authorities are currently conducting an ongoing investigation into the case.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. He has directed the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Health, and Minister of Social Policy to visit the scene of the incident.
This event is considered a major tragedy that has deeply affected the Croatian people. Authorities are expediting the investigation to ascertain the cause and are rigorously pursuing legal action against the perpetrator.
