Cannes, 21 May, 2025 – On Wednesday evening, atop the Chopard Rooftop overlooking the scintillating Croisette, the Maison’s Co-Presidents Caroline and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele welcomed guests for a captivating celebration of horological excellence. In a setting transformed into an Haute Horlogerie workshop, the Maison offered a unique masterclass on the theme of Craftsmanship, co-hosted by renowned watch journalist and collector Wei Koh- continuing its celebrated ‘Meet our Artisans’ campaign first launched in 2020.
Developed to spotlight the extraordinary individuals behind Chopard’s timepieces, the campaign took centre stage once more as one of the Manufacture’s own Artisans travelled to Cannes to demonstrate the ancestral savoir-faire that lies at the heart of the Maison’s creations. Juline, a young watchmaker artisan who joined Chopard in 2018 shortly after finishing her apprenticeship with the Maison, enchanted the audience with her passion and artistry.
Over the course of the evening, guests delved into the fascinating intricacies of perpetual calendars and moonphases, observing first-hand the meticulous processes that define the art of high watchmaking. An occasion to showcase the latest L.U.C Flying T Twin Perpetual and L.U.C Lunar One models that Chopard launched earlier this year.
Acknowledging the refined pleasures often enjoyed by connoisseurs of Haute Horlogerie, the evening also featured a live cigar-rolling session. Guests were invited to savour a selection of hand-rolled cigars, complemented by curated tastings of fine cognac and aged rhum.
An elegant dinner followed, attended by distinguished guests including Chopard Ambassador Jacky Ickx and his wife Khadja Nin, Chopard Ambassador Zhang Linghe, Paul and Zulay Pogba, Karolina Kurkova, Wiliam Abadie, Marcelo and Clarice Viera, Huang Jue, James Franco and Izabel Pakzad. The meal, served sharing-style by Cipriani, celebrated classic Italian gastronomy and was paired with fine vintages from Château Monestier La Tour, the biodynamic vineyard acquired by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele in 2012.
Entertainment was provided by the acoustic ensemble Knights Club, who offered a soulful musical interlude before the evening concluded on a high note with an energetic set by DJ Cruz, all under the Cannes stars.
