เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองโครงการวันมรดกยุโรปประจำปี 2024 (Journées Européennes du Patrimoine) Balenciaga จัดนิทรรศการพิเศษในชื่อ Les Subtilités d’un Dialogue หรือ The Subtleties of a Dialogue ภายในสำนักงานใหญ่ของ Kering ในกรุงปารีส ที่อาคารประวัติศาสตร์ Laennec ณ 40 rue de Sèvres โดยนิทรรศการจะเปิดให้สาธารณชนเข้าชมในวันที่ 21–22 กันยายน 2024
สำหรับการเข้าร่วมงานประจำปีครั้งที่ 9 ของ Kering ในวันมรดกยุโรป Pinault Collection (พิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะร่วมสมัย) ยังได้นำเสนองานศิลปะที่คัดสรรจากศิลปินร่วมสมัย 6 ท่าน ภายใต้ชื่อ In Praise of Space
ผลงานที่สร้างสรรค์โดย Cristóbal Balenciaga และ Demna ถูกนำเสนอเป็นวัตถุทางศิลปะ (objets d’art) ภายในฉากที่จัดแสดงโดยเน้นรายละเอียดของไอเท็มแต่ละชิ้น ทำให้สามารถวิเคราะห์ความงามตามแบบฉบับ งานฝีมือ และเอกลักษณ์ของ Balenciaga ได้อย่างชัดเจน
นอกจากนี้ Balenciaga ยังให้ความสำคัญกับงานออกแบบที่ประณีต ซึ่งสร้างความกลมกลืนในรูปทรง สมดุลของการพับ และความเรียบง่ายของซิลูเอต ซึ่งแต่ละชิ้นที่จัดแสดง แสดงถึงความเป็นเลิศทางเทคนิคและความคิดสร้างสรรค์อันล้ำลึกของแบรนด์
นิทรรศการนี้แบ่งออกเป็น 6 ธีมหลัก ได้แก่ ปกเสื้อ, แขนเสื้อ, เอว, สีดำ, และบทสนทนาระหว่าง M. Balenciaga กับ Demna โดยมุ่งเน้นที่รายละเอียดเล็ก ๆ เพื่อช่วยให้ผู้ชมเข้าใจภาพรวมได้ดียิ่งขึ้น ส่วนประกอบแต่ละชิ้นถูกนำเสนอเพื่อแสดงถึงนวัตกรรมในการสร้างสรรค์ วัสดุที่ใช้ และความหมายทางสังคมของพวกมัน

BALENCIAGA PRESENTS THE SUBTLETIES OF A DIALOGUE EXHIBITION
In celebration of the 2024 European Heritage Days (Journées Européennes du Patrimoine), Balenciaga presents an original exhibition entitled Les Subtilités d’un Dialogue or The Subtleties of a Dialogue. Staged within Kering’s Paris headquarters, the historical Laennec landmark located at 40 rue de Sèvres, the exhibition is open to the public September 21st–22nd, 2024.
For Kering’s 9 participation in the annual European event, the Pinault Collection also presents in the chapel a unique selection of works by six contemporary artists, entitled In Praise of Space.
Creations by both Cristóbal Balenciaga and Demna are presented as objets d’art within a scenography that isolates details of each work, allowing for closer analysis of their signature aesthetics, craft and iconic Balenciaga codes.
Here, attention is placed on the masterful designs that provide harmony to shape, balance to a fold, purity of silhouette. Each display is indicative of the House’s technical excellence and creative richness.
Within six themed sections—the Collar, the Sleeve, the Waist, the color Black, and Dialogues between M. Balenciaga and Demna—a focus on the micro is made to better educate on the macro. Individual components are for their innovative construction, materiality and societal meaning.
A study of the details for which the House is renowned are arranged within custom partitions. Framings of patterns, pleats, closures, and constructions emphasize examples of impressive intricacy and originality.
For example, a selection of monochromatic black pieces in Spanish lace, history’s first use of gazar, silk satin, sustainably made neoprene, and dense velvet are presented as a masterclass in materiality.
The clothing on display is sourced from Balenciaga’s extensive archive, which spans Cristóbal Balenciaga’s early works and influential turn-of-the-century pieces to today’s groundbreaking ready-to-wear and Couture collections, designed by Demna.
The exhibition is an invitation to observe and understand the aesthetics of Balenciaga and the global impact the House has made and continues to make on fashion.
