Bvlgari transforms Taormina into a vibrant stage to unveil Polychroma, a collection that pushes the boundaries of High-End with around 250 new masterpieces. An exceptional showcase of 600 creations, including 5 milestone High Jewelry wonders and 60 millionaire pieces – the highest number ever presented by the Roman Jeweler
Taormina (Sicily), May 19, 2025. Bvlgari chose one of Sicily’s most captivating jewels, Taormina, where ancient beauty and contemporary allure merge in timeless harmony, to unveil Polychroma, its boundary-pushing new High-End collection: a celebration of the infinite richness of color and emotional diversity. Almost 250 new creations of High Jewelry and High-End watches, including 5 milestone High Jewelry wonders and 60 millionaire pieces, the highest number ever presented, took center stage in an exceptional showcase featuring 600 masterpieces.
Among guests, a constellation of international celebrities, Global Ambassadors and Friends of the House such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lisa Manobal, Viola Davis, Liu Yifei, illuminated the iconic night wearing enchanting Polychroma creations.
The enchanting night started at the Grand Hotel Timeo, where the gala dinner brought together art de la table and Sicilian flair on the location’s panoramic terrace overlooking Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea. Caltagirone ceramics, neo-antique statues, and rich compositions of local fruit played in symphony with the colorful boldness of Polychroma. Every element recalled the collection’s central themes, a vibrant fusion of the Eternal City’s grandeur and the island’s soulful textures.
The emotional peak of the event took place at the Greek Theater of Taormina — part of the Sicilian Region – Department of Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity – Archaeological Park of Naxos and Taormina —, where Polychroma was staged as a living contemporary performance in three acts, inspired by Greek tragedies. Models adorned with the collection’s most emblematic masterpieces and wearing bespoke dresses by rising Italian fashion talent Francesco Murano, moved through a dreamlike scenography of majestic arches and veils. At the heart of this unique artistic dialogue was the performance choreographed by multi-award-winning Sir Wayne McGregor, Resident Choreographer of The Royal Ballet and one of the most visionary figures in contemporary dance, whose creative direction elevated the entire staging to an unforgettable, immersive experience.
Echoing the grandeur of ancient theater, the veils and the velarium – shaping a metaphysical architecture – served as the fil-rouge uniting the entire experience, from the on-stage performance to the dinner and showroom, while the choreography brought the creative essence of the collection to life in a dramatic crescendo of expression, movement and color.
